Bow and jake's Story

For Bow Boston, the scrap and recycling business isn’t just a career—it’s part of his family story. Bow was introduced to the scrap world at just six years old, working alongside his grandfather, John Boston. Those early days in the yard shaped his work ethic and gave him a firsthand understanding of the value of hard work, relationships, and the importance of every piece of material that comes across the scale.

Growing up around the industry, Bow developed a deep respect for the people who power it—truck drivers, contractors, manufacturers, and the crews who keep yards running day in and day out. That early foundation eventually led him to join Jake Hanson and the team at B&K in 2012, where he became part of the company’s next chapter.

At B&K Recycling, Bow has helped expand the operation beyond its roots in auto salvage into a broader recycling business serving communities across Eastern Oregon. Known for his hands-on leadership and straightforward approach, Bow focuses on building long-term partnerships with customers while keeping the yard efficient, organized, and ready to serve. His leadership blends old-school scrap values learned from his grandfather with a forward-looking mindset for the future of recycling.
